LAGOS SOCIETY HONOURS THE FOLAWIYOS


Last weekend, a colourful crowd of society personalities converged at the Habour Point Event Center, Victoria Island to honour Alhaja Bolajoko Mulikat Folawiyo, who hosted a burial party. The event was the Eight Day Fidau prayer for Alhaja Ramotallahi Abeni Fagbayi. The deceased died on Saturday, January 11, at the ripe age of 92 years old. The chief hostess, Alhaja Bolajoko is one of the most prominent matriarchs within the Lagos society. She is the widow of Chief Wahab Iyanda Folawiyo, the former Baba Adinni of Nigeria. The 72-year old is the mother of the very popular Folawiyo boys-Lanre, Bayo and Bolaji. The eldest child of the late Baba Adinni, Toyosi Johnson and her younger brother, Tunde Folawiyo led a powerful delegation, made up of members of the Folawiyo family and their friends to the party. Alhaja Folawiyo’s younger mate, Sisi Abah Zainab Folawiyo also graced the event with her friends. The colour theme of the day was red. Popular party band, Faith Band was on hand to entertain the guests.
