TITI ADENUGA LOSES MOTHER





Barely a month after losing his beloved cousin, Erelu Funmi Suinner, Dr. Mike Adenuga, the Chairman of Globacom, is bereaved again. This is occasioned by the death of Madam Susannah Okome, the mother of his wife, Titilola. The deceased died on March 16, 2014, in the United States of America. She was aged 84. It was gathered that the late Madam Okome came to Lagos in the early 1940’s and lived with her husband, the late Pa. Elijah Okome, who was an employee of the United African Company (UAC) Central Accounts Department. Pa. Okome also worked with Kingsway Chemist and equally served as an accountant with Beirut Riyad Bank, Nigeria and Nigerian Arab Bank, where he eventually retired. Mama Okome is survived by, many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A befitting burial ceremony was held for the deceased last week and her remains were interred at the Vaults and Gardens, Ikoyi. The funeral service was held at the Catholic Chirch of Assumption, Falomo. The reception took place at British International School Ground, Lekki.
