PDP GUBER PRIMARIES: IHEDIOHA, RIBADU, FOLARIN, WIKE, IKPEAZU, NASKO, OKOWA, OTHERS PICK TICKETS

Ihedioha Wins Abia Guber Ticket
Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, has emerged the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Imo State.

He defeated Senator Ifeanyi Araraume and former governor of the state, Chief Ikedi Ohakim and 24 others who contested the primary election of the party with him held at the Grasshoppers Handball Stadium in Owerri on Monday, winning by 10 votes.

He scored 346 votes to defeat his closest rival, Senator Araraume, who polled 336 votes while Chief Ohakim got 213 votes.

Others are Senator Bright Nwanne scored 46 votes, Humphrey Anumudu 20, Bethel Amadi 15,  Senator Chris Anyanwu 10, Prof.
Nuhu Ribadu
Jude Njoku 8 and Ken Njemanze 7 while Emma Ojinere and Ken Ojiri got four votes apiece.

The rest of the aspirants either got zero or one votes.

Speaking shortly after being declared winner of the primary, Ihedioha vowed to reclaim the mandate stolen by the All Progressives Congress (APC).

“My victory is victory for democracy,” he said. “I will reclaim the stolen mandate of the PDP and recover what is rightly ours in Imo state. The era of rascality and impunity has caused our dear state dearly. So, today marks the beginning of the task to reclaim the state.”

Ribadu wins Adamawa PDP governorship ticket
A former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Nuhu Ribadu, has clinched the governorship ticket of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] in Adamawa state.
Mr. Ribadu beat six other contestants, including the state governor, Bala Ngilari in an election which held at the Old Parade ground, Abuja‎.
The party’s National Working Committee, NWC, had moved the election to Abuja after Mr. Ngilari was accused by a panel sent to the state to conduct primary election for state Assembly aspirants of holding them hostage.
Monday’s election results which was announced by the chairman of the election panel, Rufai Hanga, showed that Mr. Ribadu got 688 votes while Governor Ngilari got 26 votes.
Awwal Tukur, the son of a former chairman of the PDP, Bamanga Tukur, got 24 votes, a former Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education, Commission, UBE‎C, Ahmed Modibbo, had 30 votes while retired General Aliyu Kama got 3 votes.
Another candidate, Marcus Gundiri, who ran for governor on the platform of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria in the 2011‎ election, got 33 votes.



Okezie Ikpeazu wins PDP Guber ticket in Abia
Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has won the Peoples Democratic Paty, PDP, governorship ticket in Abia State. Widely believed to be the anointed candidate of incumbent Governor Theodore Orji, Ikpeazu defeated seven other aspirants, including immediately past Minister of Labour, Emeka Wogu.
Below is a breakdown of the result of the primary election held at Umuahia Township Stadium.
Iheanacho Okezie Orji 1, Marc Wabara 3, Okey Emuchey 3, Okezie Ikpeazu 487, FN Nwosu, 5 Uche Ogah, 103, Emeka Wogu 33, Acho Nwakanma 5, invalid votes 9.
In his reaction, an overwhelmed Ikpeazu said he was full of joy. He thanked the delegates, his supporters and entire Abians, assuring that he would live up to the confidence reposed in him.


PDP GUBER PRIMARIES: UMAR NASKO WINS NIGER
 Alhaji Umar Mohammed Nasko the immediate past Chief of Staff to Niger State Governor Babagida Aliyu, has won the gubernatorial ticket for the state.

He defeated the incumbent deputy governor of the state, Alhaji Ahmed Musa Ibeto and seven others with 908 votes out of 1023 delegates that voted in the Election.

PDP GUBER PRIMARIES: AMINU RINGIM WINS JIGAWA
Former chief of staff to Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa state, Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim Ringim has emerged the winner of the State’s ticket after other aspirants withdraw from the race. He however got 1025 votes.


RIVERS: WIKE WINS PDP TICKET
 Rivers State – Chief Nyesom Wike, the former Minister of State for Education, has emerged the flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the just concluded primary election.

PDP GUBER PRIMARIES: GBOYEGA ISIAKA WINS OGUN ‘UNAUTHORISED’ ELECTION
The controversial primary election held in Ogun state has been won by Gboyega Isiaka who recently defected from the Labour Party. He defeated his opponent Kayode Amusan by 705 votes to 105.
The National Working Committee of the party through a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, in Abuja on Monday morning, canceled the process insisting that the primary was not authorised.

 Teslim Folarin wins Oyo
In Oyo State, former Senate Leader, Teslim Folarin, emerged as the PDP governorship candidate. Some aspirants boycotted the event, claiming “it is illegal”.

Out of the seven aspirants who attended the primaries, only three contested against Senator Folarin, who won with 167 votes while two others abstained. Some of the main contenders like the former Oyo State Governor, Adebayo Alao Akala and Seyi Makinde were absent from the primaries.

 Ayade wins Cross River
In Cross River State, a serving Senator representing Cross River North Senatorial District and the Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Environment and Ecology, Professor Ben Ayade, emerged as the PDP governorship candidate ahead of the 2015 governorship election.
The returning officer, Olushola Akamode, who made the declaration shortly after counting the votes, declared Ayade the winner with 752 votes, as against Jeddy Agba with five votes and Joe Agi with 11 and Francis Eworo with five votes.
The governorship primary held at the UJ Esuiene Stadium in Calabar, the State capital was described as transparent, peaceful and rancor free.
Although 10 aspirants picked nomination forms to contest for the ticket, four of the contestants formally withdrew from the race shortly before the elections.


Umahi wins Ebonyi PDP Guber ticket

(PDP) governorship primaries held in the state. Umahi defeated other candidates by polling 541 votes out of the 592 votes cast by the delegates. The election was witnessed by most of the state and federal lawmaker

AKWA IBOM: UDOM EMMANUEL CLINCHES PDP TICKET
Akwa-Ibom – Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, former Secretary to Akwa Ibom state government, has emerged winner of the ruling People’s Democratic Party’s primary election in the state.
At the primary election held at the International stadium in Uyo, the state Capital, 23 PDP aspirants were represented yet Mr. Emmanuel clinched the ticket to fly the party’s flag in the 2015


general election.
The former secretary to the state government, who hails from 

Onna Local Government Area of the state, clinched the governorship ticket after gathering a total of 1201 out of the 1266 votes casted by delegates but 6 votes were void.

IFEANYI OKOWA WINS DELTA PDP GUBER TICKET
Senator Ifeanyi Okowa has won the PDP gubernatorial primaries for Delta State. He won with 406 votes while the former Delta House of Assembly Speaker scored 185 votes. Obuh scored 5, Edevbie scored 299. Orubebe scored 49, Okocha scored 6, Obielum scored 22, Elumelu scored 50.
