PRESIDENT JONATHAN REACHES OUT TO EMIRS TO BEG MU'AZU

President Goodluck Jonathan has reached out to some traditional rulers in the north to help persuade the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party to reconsider his stance of leaving the party.

Following Wednesday’s alleged Resignation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Adamu Muazu.

President Goodluck Jonathan after his wife, Dame Patience insulted the Northern indigenes, calling them irresponsible fathers and mothers who give birth and throw away the children.

President Jonathan has mandated top presidential aides in the Northern states led by the National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki to reach out to some of the Emirs to prevail on Mu'azu to

stay in the party.

One of the traditional rulers strongly considered to lead the begging is the Emir of Bauchi, Muhammadu Adamu, who is known to wield a strong influence over the embattled PDP chairman.

The Emir of Bauchi is acknowledged to have been a spiritual godfather and a significant influence to Alhaji Muazu through his political career. So much so that it is believed that Adamu was responsible for Muazu’s second tenure while he served as the governor of Bauchi state.

Mu’azu was reported to have tendered his resignation letter following some hate speeches credited to the First Lady, Patience Jonathan during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) campaign rallies.

Patience Jonathan threw caution into the winds when she called people from the North irresponsible fathers and mothers who give birth to many children they cannot cater for.

It will be recalled that a new crisis supposedly broke out in the ruling Peoples Democratic Party as anxiety emerges over the party’s chairman Adamu Mu’azu’s resignation.
