IYIOLA OMISORE' bonds with the masses

Ever since Dr. Ayodele Fayose won the Ekiti State governorship election, his victory seems to have inflated the hope of Senator Iyiola Omisore, the PDP gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming election in Osun State. Indeed, Omisore has become so besotted

with Fayose's style of politics, and he has been injecting some of the campaign strategies, used by the Ekiti Governor-elect, into his campaign activities. Over the years, Fayose has built a reputation as a grassroots mobilizer. He has no qualms about mingling with the masses, and they, in turn, shower him with love.
The Osun gubernatorial election is all about the grass root. Omisore, who is more of an Owambe (party-loving) politician, is not unaware of the fact that, his opponent, Governor Rauf Aregbesola, is a great grass root mobilizer. Invariably, he has
suddenly found the need to establish a deep sense of connection with the masses. He rides in Okada, patronizes pop corn and roasted corn sellers and engages in intense door-to-door campaign
activities. In one of the pictures, the PDP flag was ridding in an SUV with open roof. But instead of waving at the crowd with his hands, Omisore, who had two pieces of roasted corn in his hands, was busy, munching on one while he waved at the crowd with the other corn to show the grass root voters that he identified with them.
However, many have criticized the politician for faking his sudden connection with the masses. His critics are vociferous in their claim that Omisore hardly related with the masses when he was a Deputy Governor and during the period he served as a Senator.
Meanwhile, a federal lawmaker and actor, Hon. Makinde representing Ife Federal Constituency alleged that Omisore is moving about Osun State with a killer squad, all in a bid to ‘conquer’ the government house.
According to Makinde, “As a key stakeholder in Osun politics, I found it most preposterous and ridiculous the presence of masked men behind the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore. My unbiased findings show that these armed and masked individuals or “sects” go about covering their faces during Senator Omisore’s campaigns, political gatherings and rallies, they also have a culture of stationing themselves at every strategic junctions of the roads, and more shockingly at notable politician’s domains, particularly those of the ruling APC. It does not take a genius to know that these are blood thirsty armed bandits with vicious intent and purpose. In their bizarre nature, they shoot into the air sporadically with automatic pump action to cause panic among innocent residents within Osun metropolis. With all these crass shenanigans and show of shame, I think Nigerians truly need to know who these men are and what they represent. Are they operatives of SSS, Army, Police or NSCDC? This is the first time in the history of our State to see politicians going about with such questionable people and a candidate recklessly using sirens with attendant nightmare of traffic gridlock.
On July 1st, 2014, in an unprecedented manner, Ile Ife, the cradle of Yoruba race witnessed bomb blast, the city which often prides itself as the Origin of Yorubaland!. This attack left one to wonder if this is the kind of origin we are talking about, as Ile Ife now becomes the first Yorubaland to experience bombing, it is so sad.”

  1. From credible gist, Bola's story is that she is the only daughter of her rich parents and when all suitors came for her hand in marriage, she thought them to be "small boys" & before she knew it she had to settle for 2nd wife position. But like mother like daughter, her mother is also a second wife, but people don't know because as an "educated princess" she overshadowed the first Mrs. Orafidiya. The first Mrs. Orafidiya's son is a successful and humble doctor in the US. Gist is Iyiola married her to move her head because of her family's wealth and connections. Bola's brothers in the 90s were in the US doing "odu" so they had money to throw around and they sent cars and money home regularly, so Bola was a high class babe who gambled and lost out. When Iyiola was running for office her brothers gave him $50,000 in cash to secure their own political futures that never materialized. When he became senator they didn't benefit from him. He is said to have used the money to fund an estate he was building and ignored them, so now they are not his fans at all...
