FEMI BABALOLA AND HIS GUBERNATORIAL DREAM

Engineer Femi Babalola, the socialite behind Jogor Centre in Ibadan, Oyo State has declared his plan to dislodge Governor Abiola Ajimobi in the next election. The controversy-prone businessman seeks to serve his people in Oyo state in more appreciable capacities; at least his apologists claim. It will be recalled that Babalola was once arraigned at the High Court in Oyo State by the  EFCC. He is set to join the race to secure the gubernatorial seat in Oyo State in 2015. To achieve his dream, Babalola's horde of loyalists has embarked on a rigorous underground campaign exercise, all through the nooks and crannies of Oyo State, intimating the electorate about his ambition. Meanwhile, while most people believe that Babalola is entitled to the inalienable right to vote and be voted for, they hope he will not forget to honour and observe the demands of public service and accountability, if eventually, he becomes the governor of Oyo State. Nonetheless, Babalola is desperately seeking the attention of political juggernauts in the state, and he is promising them he will throw Governor Ajimobi into political oblivion in 2015. But most people in the state wonder if Babalola is not just another desperate public office seeker, attempting to build bridges even where there are no rivers
