STELLA ODUAH EMERGES PDP CANDIDATE IN ANAMBRA NORTH

Former Minister of Aviation Princess Stella Odua has emerged the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP senatorial  primary election in Anambra North Senatorial zone with 259 votes to defeat other contestants in election credited to be free, fair and peaceful.  

Announcing the result the returning office Mr Yakubu Daiti declared that other contestants were the incumbent Senator Margery Okadigbo who got 8 votes, Mr John Emeka who polled 15 votes and Chief Samuel Ikefuna 10 votes respectively.

According to the returning officer 297 delegates were duly accredited to vote out of which 5 votes were declared invalid.

With the victory Princess Odua will stand for the PDP to slug it out with candidates of other political parties at the poll for the senatorial seat of Anambra North come February 2015.

Odua in her acceptance speech thanked the delegates for the electing her saying she was happy with the conduct of the exercise.
